Welcome to Crafzen (the "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service, which is provided by Crafzen ("we," "us," or "our"), operating at crafzen.top. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Acceptance of terms

By browsing, reading, printing, downloading, or using any tool on Crafzen, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service immediately. Your continued use of the Service after any updates to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you are accessing the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, in which case "you" refers to that organisation.

2. Use of our service

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you should use Crafzen under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

2.2 License to use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, educational, and non-commercial planning purposes. This license does not include the right to resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the content without our prior written consent.

2.3 User responsibilities

You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your use of the Service. You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Not interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers, or networks connected to the Service.

• Not present general Crafzen content as an individual professional assessment, medical diagnosis, or construction approval.

2.4 No account required

Crafzen is designed as a mostly static information site. The calculators and checklist tools run entirely in your browser and do not require an account. Where an account or contact form is used, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any information you submit.

3. Intellectual property

3.1 Crafzen content

The Service and its original content — including articles, guides, tool interfaces, design, graphics, logos, and software — are and will remain the exclusive property of Crafzen and its licensors. These materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

3.2 Trademarks

The "Crafzen" name, logo, and any related marks may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

3.3 Permitted use

You may read, print, and share links to Crafzen articles for personal or educational use, provided that you keep the context and attribution intact. You may quote short excerpts with a visible link to the original page. You may not republish, resell, or distribute full articles without written permission.

3.4 User content (if applicable)

If you submit content through a contact form, feedback channel, or other feature ("User Content"), you grant Crafzen a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display that User Content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. You retain all rights to your User Content and are responsible for its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

3.5 Third-party content

Some article images and links are provided by external websites. Crafzen does not claim ownership of third-party content and respects the intellectual property rights of others. The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Crafzen. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that Crafzen is not liable for any damage or loss caused by your use of any third-party website or service.

5. Disclaimers

Crafzen provides educational articles, planning ideas, and browser-based calculations for general information only. Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice, legal advice, construction approval, or a professional assessment of your individual circumstances.

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind — whether express or implied — including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that results will be accurate or reliable.

Accessibility standards, building codes, product specifications, and individual needs vary by region and over time. Always verify measurements independently and consult a qualified local professional before making a safety-critical decision.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Crafzen, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses — resulting from:

• Your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Service.
• Any reliance on, or action taken or not taken in reliance on, any content or tool result on the Service.
• Any unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.
• Any third-party conduct or content.

In no event shall our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred US dollars (USD 100.00), whichever is greater. As Crafzen is a free service, this provision effectively limits our liability to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Crafzen and its directors, employees, partners, agents, and affiliates harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from or relating to:

• Your use of or access to the Service.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Any User Content you submit.

8. Account termination and suspension

While Crafzen does not currently require accounts for most features, the following provisions apply where an account, contact submission, or ongoing interaction exists:

8.1 Termination by us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever — including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

8.2 Termination by you

You may stop using the Service at any time. If you have submitted information through a contact form and wish to have it removed, you may request deletion by contacting us at [email protected].

8.3 Survival

All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination — including but not limited to ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitation of liability sections.

9. Dispute resolution

9.1 Informal resolution

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter informally. You agree to contact us at [email protected] with a detailed description of the dispute before initiating formal proceedings. We will use reasonable efforts to respond within thirty (30) days.

9.2 Arbitration

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within sixty (60) days, the dispute shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration administered in accordance with the rules of the jurisdiction specified in Section 10 below. The arbitration shall be conducted in the English language. Judgment upon the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.

9.3 Class action waiver

You and Crafzen agree that each party may bring claims against the other only on an individual basis, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative action.

9.4 Equitable relief

Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or confidential information at any time.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

For the purposes of any legal proceedings not subject to arbitration under Section 9, the parties agree that the exclusive jurisdiction shall be vested in the state and federal courts located in the United States. You hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts and waive any objection to venue or forum non conveniens.

Nothing in these Terms shall deprive consumers of any mandatory rights that apply to them under the laws of the country in which they reside, where such rights cannot be waived by contract.

11. Changes to terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will endeavour to provide at least thirty (30) days' notice prior to any new Terms taking effect by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where material changes are made, posting a notice on the homepage.

By continuing to access or use the Service after the revised Terms become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you should stop using the Service.

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for changes. Your continued use of the Service after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and User Agreement, constitute the entire and exclusive agreement between Crafzen and you regarding the Service, and supersede and replace any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, and understandings — whether oral or written — between you and us regarding the subject matter hereof.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court or arbitral tribunal of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
